This high-temperature neoprene adhesive has been specially selected for complete headliner replacement.
Unlike DIY all-purpose adhesives, it ensures long-lasting adhesion even in hot summer weather.
Compatible with dense foam automotive fabrics 22-25 kg/m³.
The interior of a vehicle can exceed 70-80°C in direct sunlight.
A risky standard glue :
to soften
to migrate
cause premature detachment
This automotive ceiling adhesive is formulated to withstand temperatures of up to 100-110°C once fully cured.
It is suitable for complete headliner renovations and the installation of new automotive fabrics.
Type: neoprene contact adhesive
Thermal resistance: 100-110°C
Format: spray can
Application: double gluing recommended
Compatible with automotive PU foam
Tack time: 5-10 minutes
For a standard sedan roof (Golf, 206, Clio, Audi A3) :
1 can of 200 ml may not be enough
2 x 200 ml cans are recommended for a complete replacement
Why?
The professional method requires double gluing:
1 coat on the panel
1 layer on the back of the fabric
For long-lasting results, it’s better to leave enough margin than to apply too little glue.
For SUV or station wagon:
Use 2 to 3 x 200 ml cans.
Remove the complete panel
Clean and scrape off worn foam
Spray an even veil on both surfaces
Respect setting time
Assemble from center to edges
Roll on gradually
Do not glue immediately after spraying: wait for the glue to tack.
Standard DIY adhesives often have a heat resistance of less than 80°C.
In summer, this can lead to fabric delamination.
For long-lasting renovation, a high-temperature neoprene adhesive is essential.
