I’ve owned Volkswagens with panoramic sunroofs – the Tiguan and Golf estate – so in summer it’s a real treat, and the kids love it. But all too often, these moments of pleasure have been punctuated by failures and other inconveniences that have taken up a lot of my energy, time and money.

The fault lies in a lack or even non-maintenance, little information on this subject here and there, believe me when the sunroof is blocked. sunroof is stuck in the semi-open position and the rain is threatening, it’s useful to know that there’s a way to operate the sunroof manually, for example…

The problems you may encounter…
Panoramic sunroof drain pipes clogged…
then worn…

not to mention the dampness that spreads throughout the cabin due to leaks, and not forgetting the burning smell and marks on the headliner after drying, dampness that often causes the blind to tear. tearing the blind (not nice at all in summer when it’s a good 35° degrees and it’s banging on the rocks).
The good news is that I’ve tried to put my information together so that you know what to do to your sunroof to prevent all these problems from occurring, or how to solve them when they do occur.
I’ve put together several tutorials that may help you:
– Grease the panoramic sunroof.
– Change the panoramic sunroof blind/curtain. Changing the panoramic sunroof blind/curtain.
– Removing the air deflector for (net maintenance, for example).
– Unclogging the panoramic sunroof water drainage pipes.
